How to choose the teeth shapes and angles of the saw blades?
1The selection of saw blade teeth
The blade teeth could be divided into left-right type, cone type, flat type, trapezoid type, crescent type and so on. In actual use, we choose the teeth shapes mainly according to the raw materials types.
The left-right teeth are suitable for splitting and cross-cutting the soft, hard wood or particle board; The ones with anti-resilience are for cutting boards with burls longitudinally; The ones with negative hook angles are for cutting veneers because of its sharpe teeth and fine cutting.
The cone teeth are used for grooving of panel saws. The panel saw completes the bottom grooving process and the main saw completes the board process to prevent the kerf from cracking when cutting When for cutting the artificial board with double veneers. 
The flat teeth are mainly used for cutting or common wood; this kind of saw blade has a lower cost, but with rough kerf.
The using of of thee trapezoid-flat combination teeth can obtain a high quality without a grooving saw; it is suitable for cutting the doubled-venners artificial board without veneer cracking.
2The selection of teeth angles
The angles parameters of saw teeth are some more complex, but it is the key for the quality of the saw blades. The main angle parameters are hook anlge,clearance angle and wedge angle.  
The hook angle mainly influences the power consumption for cutting wood. The larger hook angle, the better cutting sharpness; the lighter saw blade, the less labour it takes. Its better to choose the larger angle for the soft materials conversely, the smaller one.
The clearance angle mainly effects friction between the tooth surface and the material toe be sawn; It is from 12 degrees to 20 degrees, usually.
Brief introduction to the structure of the carbide-tipped saw blades
The parameters of carbide-tipped saw blades consist of teeth shape, angle, and teeth number, thickness of the plate, diameter, and carbide tips type and so on. These parameters determine the processing capacity and cutting performance.To select the suitable saw blades in accordance with right-chosen parameters.
Teeth shape:
There is flat, bevel, trapezoid, inverse trapezoid teeth typ for common use.
The flat teeth, as its simple teeth form and a little rough kerf, is the most widely used for cutting ordinary wood; And when used for notching, the flat teeth can make a smooth groove bottom.
Bevel teeth are suitable for cutting all kinds of artificial boards, veneers with good quality.
Trapezoid teeth are suitable for cutting veneers, fire-proof boards with higher quality.
Inverse trapezoid teeth are for bottom grooving saw blades.
Teeth angles:
Namely, the position of the saw teeth when cutting. The angles affect the cutting performance.The dominant influences are the hook angle ,the clearance angleand the wedge angle. The hook angle is the digging angle of the teeth, the larger the hook angle is, the lighter cutting and it is often between 10 to 15 degrees; the clearance angle, which fulfils the function of avoiding the friction, is the one between the saw teeth and the machined surface. The larger clearance angle is,the less friction and more smooth processed products. The clearance angle is generally 15 degrees; The wedge angle is derived from the hook and clearance angles, however, it can not be too small, it plays an role of maintaining strength, heat emission, durability of the teeth. The sum of the the hook angle ,the clearance angleand the wedge angleis 90 degrees.
Teeth number:
In general, the more teeth, the more cutting kerfs per unit time and better cutting performance, but more teeth with more carbide tips, the price of the saw will become higher. Whats more, dense teeth will make the chips capacity smaller and easily lead to blade heat; Excessive teeth but slow feeding, the cutting volume per tooth decreases, the friction between the edge and work piece increases, all of these will influence the blade service life. The teeth pitch usually range from 15mm to 25mm; Choos the reasonable teeth number according to the material to be processed.
The thickness of the blade:
In theory, we hope that the thinner, the better the saw blade is; but saw kerf is actually a kind of consumption; the material of the steel body and process technology determine the thickness of the saw blade. Consider the saw blade working stability and material to bo cut when choosing the saw blade thickness.
Outer diameter of the saw blade: It is related to the cutting devices and the thickness of the workpieces.Small blade diameter, the cutting speed is relatively slow; whereas big diameter, it requires a high demand of saw blade and its devices, but high efficiency at the same time.
Teeth shape, angle, teeth number, thickness of the plate, diameter, carbide tips type, etc, a series of parameters together constitute a whole carbide-tipped saw blade. To be a reasonable choice, and with it the advantage of better play. Reasonable selection and match to make its role be brought into full play.
